General Information:
The Unimog 421 filled the gap between the light and heavy Unimog series. It was particularly valued for municipal use and on smaller farms.
In the 1980s, structures changed, and the agricultural sector required more powerful Unimog models. Consequently, production of the mid-range Unimog 421 series was gradually scaled back and finally discontinued in 1988.
Following a lengthy restoration, we are now able to present a 1983 Unimog 421 U52 (U600). It was first registered on 20 April 1983. The cabriolet version is extremely rare on the market.
Unimog 421s from the 1980s in a state of disrepair, with thousands of operating hours and high mileage, are generally valued at around €25,000 to €35,000. A restoration now takes 2–3 years – assuming you can even find qualified specialists for this work.
The vehicle is very easy to drive, compact in design and fits into almost any garage. The mid-range Unimog 421 series enjoys great popularity and impresses with a timeless, attractive design that has captivated generations.
Our Unimog 421 has been fully restored and stripped down to the last screw. The engine, gearbox and axles are new. All spare parts are sourced from Mercedes-Benz.
The vehicle features the so-called ‘full specification’ (Vollagrar), which includes all available options: front and rear power lifts, front and rear PTOs, front and rear hydraulic connections, hydraulic tipping mechanism, two air couplings at the rear, a Rockinger trailer coupling, and the ‘large gearbox’ with crawler gears and a transfer box.
