The Unimog 421 filled the gap between the light and heavy Unimog series. It was especially valued in municipal services and in smaller agricultural operations.
In the 1980s the structure of activities changed and agriculture required more powerful Unimog models. As a result production of the mid range Unimog 421 was gradually reduced and finally ended in 1988.
After many years of restoration we are pleased to present a Unimog 421 U52 U600 from 1983. The first registration took place on 20.04.1983. The convertible version is extremely rare on the market.
Unimog 421 models from the 1980s in scrap condition with thousands of operating hours and high mileage are usually valued between 25000 EUR and 35000 EUR. Restorations today take two to three years if it is even possible to find someone with the right qualifications for the job.
The vehicle is very easy to drive compact and fits into almost any garage. The mid range Unimog 421 is very popular and impresses with a timeless and attractive design that has inspired several generations.
Our Unimog 421 has been fully restored and dismantled down to the last bolt. The engine transmission and axles are new. All spare parts come from Mercedes Benz.
The vehicle is equipped with the so called full package, which includes all available features front and rear lifts front and rear power take off shafts hydraulic connections at the front and rear hydraulic tipping system Rockinger towing hitch and the large gearbox with crawler gears and a pre reduction gearbox.
