The Spezial Max was launched in 1954. A key distinguishing feature is the front drum brake, as the Max was fitted with only a half-hub. An increase in power to 13 kW made the Spezial Max one of the fastest production motorcycles with a 247 ccm engine capacity. The Spezial Max has been on display in the museum for the past few years and requires new tyres and a full service.
